Janie Hansen, LCSW

Hi, I’m Janie

Mental Health Therapist | Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Masters in Social Work.

Resilience is where adversity and survival begins to intersect with living your best life. Often people come to therapy once they “survived” one or a series of events that have challenged the skills they already have or have changed their world view. I act as a sounding board to explore new vantage points you may be developing and as someone to assist in reality testing when you find that some of your own thoughts are difficult to navigate.

I value dealing with people who seek to improve themselves, quality of life, as well as learning to recognize that pain is a vital aspect in holding on to anything of worth.

I offer a space for people to explore past traumatic events, darker thoughts and feelings, and am affirming to people as they are. I can be direct and humorous in my approach with clients.

I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2016 with a masters of Social Work and able to specialize the modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
