BreeAnn Sonoda, Social Work Intern (MSW-I)

Hi, I’m Breeann,

Mental Health Therapist | Certified Social Worker

Resilience entails the capacity to adjust amidst challenges and navigate through them, demonstrating adaptability both during and after difficult situations. It involves the ability to bounce back and thrive in the face of adversity.

Having been employed in medical social work since 2020, I've dedicated a year and a half to a prominent hospital. Now, I aim to pursue a master's degree and transition to mental health, recognizing its substantial impact on our daily lives.

I support my clients by creating coping strategies that aid in managing emotions, preserving self-esteem, and fostering healthy interpersonal connections. When we effectively cope with our experiences and cultivate constructive responses, it can have a positive influence on both ourselves and those in our social circles.

I am in the final stages of completing my master's degree in social work at Boise State University, with an anticipated graduation date in August 2024.

As a Hawaiian individual, I engage in weekly Hula sessions with my Halau. Additionally, during favorable weather conditions, I dedicate my personal time to camping and hiking.
